Donation Terms & Refund Policy

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing to support charitable initiatives through PrayForMe.
 This policy explains how donations are processed, how we protect your contribution, and under what conditions refunds may be issued.

By making a donation on our website, you agree to these Donation Terms & Refund Policy (“Policy”), along with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

2. Our Role

PrayForMe serves as a facilitator — connecting verified representatives of houses of prayer and spiritual communities with people who wish to help.
 We do not directly own, manage, or operate the projects that receive donations.
 All campaigns and requests for help are submitted and managed by verified representatives or registered organizations.

PrayForMe reviews submissions for eligibility and authenticity, but the final responsibility for each campaign’s use of funds rests with the verified representative who posted it.

3. Payment Processing

  • All donations are processed securely through third-party payment providers, such as Stripe or PayPal. 
  • PrayForMe does not store or have access to your full payment information. 
  • You may choose to make a one-time or recurring donation. 
  • Currency conversions and transaction fees are determined by the payment processor and may vary based on location. 
  • Upon successful donation, you will receive an email confirmation and electronic receipt. 

4. Allocation of Funds

When you donate to a specific campaign, 100% of your contribution (minus standard payment processing fees and platform maintenance costs, if applicable) is directed to that verified organization or representative.
 In some cases, PrayForMe may retain a small optional donor tip or platform fee to sustain operations and technology infrastructure — these are always disclosed during checkout.

5. Refund Policy

All donations made through PrayForMe are considered voluntary and final.
 However, we understand that mistakes can happen and therefore allow limited refunds under the following conditions:

Refunds may be issued if:

  • A duplicate donation was made in error 
  • An incorrect amount was entered 
  • The transaction was unauthorized or fraudulent 
  • A technical error caused an unintended charge 

Refunds cannot be issued if:

  • The donation has already been transferred to the verified recipient organization 
  • The donor simply changes their mind after confirmation 
  • The campaign has been fulfilled or funds already used for their intended charitable purpose 

If you believe your donation qualifies for a refund, please contact us within 15 days of the transaction at support@prayforme.com.
 We will review your request and respond within 10 business days.

6. Donor Protection

PrayForMe takes integrity seriously.
 If we detect fraudulent or misleading activity from a campaign, we reserve the right to:

  • Pause or cancel the campaign 
  • Hold or return collected funds 
  • Report the case to relevant authorities 

We may contact you directly if your donation is affected by such actions.

7. Tax Receipts

PrayForMe provides a digital donation receipt for every transaction.
 Whether a donation qualifies as tax-deductible depends on:

  • The donor’s country and local tax laws 
  • The tax-exempt status of the organization receiving the funds 

PrayForMe itself is a facilitator and cannot guarantee tax deductibility for every campaign.
 If needed, please consult your tax advisor or contact the campaign’s verified organization directly.

8. Recurring Donations

If you opt for recurring donations:

  • You authorize PrayForMe and our payment processor to charge your selected payment method automatically according to your chosen frequency. 
  • You can cancel recurring donations anytime through your account settings or by contacting support@prayforme.com. 
  • Cancellations take effect before the next scheduled charge. 

9. Transparency and Reporting

PrayForMe strives for transparency in all fundraising activities.
 Each verified organization must provide truthful information about its mission and use of funds.
 We may share summarized reports on donation impact and platform-wide activity for accountability and trust.
